Interesting, exciting--well, that doesn't even begin to describe this split 7" for me. Lotus Fucker is by far one of the best bands in Maryland nowadays, and here on their most recent release they've split a slab with Penis Geyser, the, ummm, hilariously-named noisecore band out of Ohio that's been making waves in the tape-trading scene (...apparently... though I haven't been able to get my hands on any other release). In short, you get a pretty wide spectrum of noise here, from the slightly musical to the completely unmusical. Lotus Fucker is highly influenced by Japanoise-punk, e.g. Confuse, Gai, Dustnoise, Lip Cream, you name it. They are brimming with energy and violent distortion, and they're fuckin' great. Penis Geyser makes random screaming, gargling, smashing noisegrind that is completely devoid of musical value--and that's what you look for in that kind of stuff, isn't it? Great for what it is.

Lotus Fucker:
1. Off to a noisy start, then it hits its stride with some great Jappy d-beat.
2. Short blastin' punk, very hectic and galloping, reminds me a bit of the Italian band Wretched.
Penis Geyser:
3. Random screaming, guitar noise, blastbeats.
