A live recording of Excepter performing at Death by Audio in Brooklyn, New York. A very dark, futuristic sound with tons of chilling electronic beats and harsh haunted house imagery. Safely on the experimental end of the spectrum. This is the first release from the newly-formed Portland-based Dog Daze Tapes.

1. A fifteen-minute exploration into gradually undulating swirls of drone. Staticy and ever-changing, like a slow-morphing underwater monstrosity. The last 7 minutes of the composition are a host to some really unique sonic experimentation with layered samples, cryptic arpeggios and white-hot keyboard chords drenched with static.
2. A disorienting electronic beat with tons of swirly synth, and samples of the yells of lost souls. Chilling. Would have fit into any “On the Warpath” show.
3. Deep swollen rushes of static with heavily distorted vocals, snatches of awesome electronic beats and clanging production. Sounds like The Knife’s Silent Shout put into a blender.
4. Dark pulses of electronica over a urgent clattering of percussion. Then it opens into a complex pallet of foundsound samples and keyboard smatterings. Dark and busy. Reminds me a bit of Rangers’ Street Smell release.
5. Minimalist deep bubbly electronic riffs. Muffled unintelligible lyrics over a killer electronic beat.
