Zorg "Zorg" cd (label unknown)
From 2004, this is a Portuguese band, singing in English. The howling male vocals are actually intelligible, awash with well-produced backing of guitars, bass & drums. Just about all tracks are short, yet just right. The band is tight, and this CD is highly listenable to those of you who wish to ROCK OUT, man. All tracks *FCC* OK, maaaaan.

1) "Failure of Nations" - straight-ahead hard rock, impassioned male vox screams out "so predictable". Ironically, IMO, it's anything but predictable.
2) "That's Right, Let's Ride" - mid-tempo, chunky-clunky heavy metal thunder.
3) "Flame Me Up" - another mid-tempo barrage of guitars, bass & drums, topped with vocals that are a cross between Phil from Pantera & Jello Biafra(!).
4) "Get Up and Be" - slow, thudding plea for the listener to "get up and BE".
5) "The Sky is Burning" - fast, pounding beat with even more wailing singing.
6) "Get Up Come On"- "I need LOVE!", the singer emotes amidst a peppy, thrash-y groove with some crunchy solo guitar.
7) "Anytime I Try I Forget Myself" - anthemic searing guitar-driven mid-tempo soul-searching ditty, with some nice Alice in Chains-ish harmonies on the chorus. HxJx's "pick-to-click"!
8) "Take It All Save It All" - fast, danceable (dare I say it?), poppy rocker that should be on commercial radio, but won't, so WE get to play it! Long, drawn-out ending, as if they were playing LIVE, just for you.
9) "Roses Are Dead Where The Lies Are Born" - If this is a love ballad, it's about love gone bad, IMO. Johnny Rotten-esque yowling over a rock-solid beat and professional style breaks.. HxJx's "pick-to-click", for sure!
