Ultra-prolific KZSU drone/ambient favorite Aidan Baker returns to the a-file with this heavily electronic album, recorded live in Berlin and Prague, released on Basses Frequencies. Very well-paced and very slow; play at nighttime or when feeling overwhelmed by single-digit-minute tracks (if you still play those).
Recommend tracks: 3+4 then 1+2 on your next show (4 if playing alone)

1. (19:51) Warm, dark, haunting synth tones run this track; unintelligible but surely depressing, muted vocals complement. (The guitar + voice combination of the vocal part sounds like it could be an old, slowed down Red House Painters demo) Whale sounding deep notes and buried vocal samples provide texture. Abrupt ending (continues into 2).
2 (17:52) Intro is brooding, sounds like desolation; very quiet section then glimmering windchime synths take some of the pain away; ends quietly.

3 (15:12) Beginning is icy and dark; things brighten somewhat as higher-pitched tones come in for the second half. Quiet transition to track 4
*4 (12:28) The most melodious track on the album. Dreamy synthesizers create sweeping windy tones. Buried vocals and bowed noises conclude.
