Compilation from Exit Records with a solid serving of dubstep, drum’n’bass and some jungle-ish elements. Expect plenty of bass and the newest sounds from the likes of Skream, Scuba, Instra:Mental, dBridge, and Autonomic. Very little wobble, if you’re into that kind of stuff, but plenty of deeeep bass to keep Studio A rattling.
FCC: Clean
Try: Disc 1: 1, 5, 10 Disc 2: 6, 1, 9, 4
Disc 1:
1) * 4:46 Slow, swinging bass and pads. Dramatic female vocalizing.
2) 6:50 Laid-back, loungy feel. Dusty bass sounds and clicks.
3) 4:39 Half-tempo drum’n’bass with retro gritty synth
4) 6:48 Heavy kick with a laidback feel and horn-synths.
5) * 5:23 Skipping d’n’b with simple, melodic theme.
6) 5:23 Grainy, repetitive synth melody. Slow-burning drums.
7) 5:19 Slow, circular. Western-ish occasional guitar strumming
8) 7:26 Starts out slowly pounding. Warped and haunting
9) 4:54 Shy d’n’b kicks in after about a minute. More haunting stuff
10) * 4:36 Weird, robotic stuff in the background. Complicated texture.
11) 8:22 80s-teinted bass and keys soundscape
Disc 2
1) * 5:29 Strong, crunchy drums. Primal drive with soundtrack-ish vibes
2) 5:31 Fragmented feel. Reverb-drenched percussion, rumbling bass. Jungly. Squeaky vocals
3) 6:50 Slow, ambient feel. Lots of rumbling behind the airtight percussion.
4) * 4:12 Raw, gritty and slow dubstep. Trippy, delayed synth break.
5) 6:40 Industrial feel, monstrous and metallic. Gets even more haunting with rushing hi-hats.
6) * 5:24 Fast, schizophrenic Skream track. Percussion rushing while the bass is pumping along underneath.
7) 8:28 Fast, minimalistic. Smooth bass pattern, some noise samples.
8) 5:20 Wobbly dubstep-elements on a drum’n’bass foundation
9) * 6:52 Long intro leads to sharp, funky bass experiments. Hectic.
10) 5:41 Grainy bass, washed out synths and hi-hats. Some EQ tweaks
11) 5:38 Staccato rhythm, strangely manipulated vocals. Unlike anything else on the compilation
