ALTERNATIVE FOLK-ROCK; FEMALE SINGER-SONGWRITER
Lily Seabird is a young musician living in Burlington, Vermont. Released in January 2024, Alas, is Seabird’s second album, following 2021’s Beside Myself and preceding Trash Mountain from 2025. She sings in a pleasingly twangy alto, writes all the songs, and plays guitar, bass, and various keyboards. The album blends folky ballads and crunchy rock, song to song, and sometimes within a song. Interesting, introspective lyrics on the dust cover. RIYL Adrienne Lenker, Ani DiFranco, Courtney Barnett
