Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend

UK noise psych rockers release live recordings that could pass for studio in quality. Generally long-form, hypnotic, their music veers from tripped out psychedelic mysticism of Trad Grad Och Stenar and Prince Rama to epic noise rock a la F/i. Fans of Krautrock, Carlton Melton, Moon Duo, Wooden Shjips, Lumerians, and supergluing your radio dial to 89.7 (KFJC) will LOVE. Try any or start with 7, 2, 6, 4

1) (7:52) mystical tribal beauty 2) (12:54) here we go! Good head nodding rock beat with wall of psych 3) (9:47) full on fuzz guitar hook, another killer head nodder. 4) (11:42) dark doomy feel to this epic beauty. 5) (6:24) slower with big echoey reverbed vocalizations, trippy dippy. 6) (13:10) big long droning psych fest, female voice, some trumpet even, drum-free until they crash in at ~ 8 min and this becomes an epic mess of organized anarchy, sadly if fades out (ran out of tape?) 7) (11:10) heavy confident drum beat and bass makes this one powerful, hypnotic, my fave. 8) (6:46) bookend trippy hippy track for the album, like first track
