Shoegaze dream-pop band from Buffalo, NY formed in 2015. They have an LP, 3 singles, and an EP. All tracks have a spiffy guitar and the lead vocals sound breezy and fresh. Overall album sound: indie movie soundtrack played for when the main character travels around. I can’t say this is a revolutionary album, but it is a good album for amping up for a certain mood. The guitar solos are perhaps the highlight for most tracks. No FCCs. RIYL: Nada Surf, Wild Nothing, Beach Fossils. Recommended Tracks: 1, 6, 8, 9, 12

1. Graves (3:02)- Great start to an album that at times seems a little monotonous. The vocals are particularly varied in this track. Absolutely fantastic supporting guitar to vocals makes this track that much better.

2. Spirit (3:31)- Pretty catchy transition between verses. Changes to a more guitar-centered sound in the middle, then returns to original sound

3. Avalon- (3:23)-Slightly darker sound than the first three tracks

4. China (3:21)- Features acoustic guitar and tambourine with a steady, sort of nostalgic rhythm.

5. Smile (4:07)-Guitar solo meant to inspire.

6. Lost the Sun (3:20)- Lower tone vocals at the start, which continue every verse. Chorus reverts to airy, breezy tone.

7. Peak (2:24)- Instrumental. Prominent bass contribution. Summery sunset track, good for wrapping up or starting a show.

8. Tokyo (2:47)- Faster energy than rest of album. Driving around the city with optimism and a sense of adventure with this track is a hit.

9. Apparition (3:01)- Faster energy than start of album as well. Fun chord progressions, sort of on the vibe of a lighter My Chemical Romance-esque style.

10. Doomsday Frequency (3:16)- Slow again. Phat bass supporting line reverberating throughout the song, very enjoyable. Heaviness plays off well against the vocals.

11. Valentine (2:57)- Slightly slower tempo than Tokyo. Has “Breakfast Club” vibes at times.

12. Together (3:09)- Very much the final song at a prom that just wants to wind down gently. Features a sort of “zangy” sound effect in the third half of the song. Sitar maybe?

13. Under the Light (3:23)- Slow ending to a slow album, with a guitar effect that sounds lifted from a slowed-down arcade game. Lyrics almost seem soul-searching. Builds up for the third minute, just a continuation of the song’s previous progressions. Actually ends at 3:17
