LOCAL -- Fifth album by San Francisco group Cindy, led by Karina Gill; lo-fi soft, fuzzy textures with fem harmonized vocals, rich bedroom atmosphere, sad/wistful vibe. Meowcore + shoegaze; really lovely stuff. RIYL: La Luz, April Magazine, Grass Widow, Belle + Sebastian.

FCC clean!

1. (4:11) ******* Soft, rich, fuzzy; slow Pale Blue Eyes-style sway, soft and soothing vocals; aimless and cool
2. (2:31) ***** Fast, strummy, jangly. Sweet vox harmonizing, captured in fuzz
3. (2:04) ***** Wistful, slow, expressive -- instrumental until the last 25 seconds, then a half-talked little snippet
4. (2:33) ****** Classic country slow ballad sway, whispered and cool vox
5. (3:47) ***** Midtempo; chanted, like a spooky spin on a classic girl group/soul sound -- repeated and sustained, feels quite long
6. (2:21) ****** Faster, more of a yeye "upbeat" sound (though still fuzzy and languid)
7. (2:59) ***** Slow, plunky, downer; shangri-las-style wistful monologue amid sad harmony chorus
8. (1:23) ***** Strummy, sad/upbeat sound. Close harmony and wistful tone, fades away at end
9. (3:48) ****** Slow, whispered. Harmony soup, soft intimate vox, regal pace. Gets soupier and soupier; becomes diffuse, cloudy, fuzzy heaven
