Unbelievably lo-fi experimental psyche-folk holy sounds from Brooklyn-based Nicaraguan-American musician; she recorded these songs over the course of five years on a Tascam 424. The mix is rumbled, distorted, faint, dreamy. This is essential music, soul-touching music, indescribable music, just listen
Almost all tracks (minus a few short rumblings) are beautiful, but esp. play track 1. No FCCs
1. (3:36) ********** Perfect human artifact; haunting, slow, stewing in tape hiss. Feels ancient, feels holy. Beautiful, towering
2. (2:01) ****** Slow, jangling. Voice muffled with hallway echo, sweet and spooky
3. (1:43) ****** Soupy strumming, voice low in mix; church-like harmony, puzzling and beautiful
4. (1:24) **** Hesitating piano notes plunked, a more agitated stripped-down take on track 1
5. (1:38) ***** Deeply low-fi, muffled timbre, slow, haunting/beautiful; sudden glitch ending
6. (1:59) ***** Weird muffled low-fi metronome beat, haunted discordant harmony vocals from two rooms; ends with (church?) organ snippet
7. (1:49) **** insistent guitar rhythm, chanted dirge
8. (3:03) **** Instrumental: Lo-fi soup, with hints of drum-machine; aligns into discordant church-y organ sounds
9. (0:37) ** weird distorted tape recording, voice backward?
10. (2:36) ******* Almost jaunty, straightforward but haunted folk rhythm melody with distorted synth giving weird tones; repetitive and dreamlike
11. (2:19) ****** Woman behind the radiator atmosphere, haunted foggy distant sounds, sweet but impossibly far; prom ballad tempo
12. (1:31) ***** strummed, mumbly discordant bedroom tape atmosphere, sweet and jumbled | suddenly cuts out
13. (3:30) ****** slow metronome, sweet and holy harmonies; reverb reverb reverb. Spare, haunting. Whispers...
14. (1:50) * instrumental: Plodding church organ low notes
