Aloonaluna/ Starry Crowns Aloonaluna/ Starry Crowns Concertina Reviewed by Timmy Linetsky Dreamy folk split 7" from Aloonaluna and Starry Crowns. Super weird and noisy, definitely unlike anything I've heard before. Creepy and beautiful at the same time. FCC Clean Recommended Tracks: A1, B1 A1: Creepy female vocals about apples and bellies. Slow, menacing groove. Descends into wonderful noise by the end. Very, very weird. A2: Folky banjoes and xylophones. Sounds homegrown, cheerful. Nice vocals. Wouldn't be out of place in any Wes Anderson movie. B1: Hushed male/female vocals over spare guitar and thumping bass followed by a very beautiful instrumental section. Near ambience. | ||
