KZSU music staffers describe this one as "banjo on acid" and I don't think I can offer an improvement over that description, even though there is no actual banjo on this record. Trio (primarily saxophone/other winds, guitar, bass/percussion) plays "out" on these freely sprawling, academic pieces. There are no hooks in this and plenty of free space. The artists are more interested in creating interesting sounds and textures with their instruments than with playing a traditional song. Thank god this exists. This fits on your show.

1. Lots of creaky, warped saxomophone and seemingly improvised guitar that goes through sparse moments and urgent pluck/reed fests. (10:30)
2. Clanging twisted feel, soft wind-swept section, and then more upfront free jazzy improvisation with guitar and sax. (11:00)
3. More frenzied guitar and sax; more chaotic. (9:33)
*4. Slow, deliberate eerie winds to start, then your landlord starts throwing furniture at you out the window. Weirdo, surreal stuff that goes through a few moods. Almost cinematic. (15:46)
