Everybody’s favorite UK dubstep act gets back in the game with a stellar release on Hyperdub. Be aware that this is somewhat more house-flavored than Untrue, which would be a great loss if this release was anything short of amazing. But it isn’t. If you’ve picked this up already, chances are you know what you’re getting yourself into. If you’re not, give it a spin and find out why Burial deserves that spot as moody garage/dubstep posterboy.

Try: Try ALL! the songs
FCC: Clean

1) 11:26 ** Dirty, grimy beat with soft sampled vocals. Classic Burial except for that rumbling combination of pounding kick drums and scrappy percussion. Raw and industrial.
2) 7:28 * Long intro fades into an arpeggiated roller-coaster ride of rolling techno. Grandiose. Long fadeout with soft, melodic coda.
3) 11:45 * Chaotic, rambling. The sound of a party next door that gradually comes closer. Dramatic, cinematic vocals and a lot of tension. Packs at least three smaller songs into a beast of a track.
