Poor Moon's "Illusion EP" follows typical mellow indie rock tropes, but in this case it isn't a bad thing. Overall, "Illusion" keeps a mellow feel; nothing will get your heart racing, but it will have you singing along. Everything on this album is done well, especially the strong vocal performances. Everything on this album would be worth playing, and tracks [3, 4] stick out as refreshingly different. RIYL: Fleet Foxes (half the members are from FF), Local Natives, Guster? No FCCs.

01. [3:29] Illusion -- Reflective. Just a guitar and a guy.
02. [2:57] Anyplace -- Full band, nice vocal harmonies. ~7 sec silence at the end.
03. [3:03] ** People in Her Mind -- Upbeat, standard indie tune with better melodies and guitar solo. Again ends with ~10 seconds of silence.
04. [3:33] ** Once Before -- Little minor jaunt.
05. [3:08] Widow -- Similar to the first track: singer & guitar. Not slow, just relaxed
