Album Review

Reviewed 2012-03-22
Long-form (52 minutes) experimental drone collaboration by local sound genius Antimatter (aka Xtopher, Mixture 151) and Polish noise and electroacoustic composer, Karkowski. Minimalist, low-end, apocalyptic subtle electronics. At 10 minutes in, lots of glitchy panning effects flicker by and the drone throb shifts and persists. Slowly layers and sounds are introduced and manipulated, frequencies sped up. At ~ 22 minutes in, really intense sequencer followed by helicopter mechanical failures and then a locked distorto-noise loop/assault. RIYL Brian B James, Yann Novak, Blue Sabbath Black Cheer, Family Underground.
