Homeboy Sandman is pretty much ‘Down by Law’. Not necessarily because he’s studied at the School of Law at Hofstra University (Hempstead, NY), but more because his raps command much authority. If Boy Sand (real name) accepted the position, he could be the new Sheriff in town. His vocabulary is vast; his words are dexterous; his rhymes well thought; his delivery is unconventional (or creative). It’s as if he drops the words onto the beat and let’s them find their own place in the beat. Even though Homeboy may be the Man, the Sandman actually, naptime is finished. Wake up & don’t sleep on this one!
