THROTTLE: Elevator Music
Wide Hive, 2012

PUNK/JAZZ FUSION – Fun, in-your-face trio blends old-school punk-rock riffs and mopey indie-rock ideas with some very cool modern sax blowing (by Kamasi Washington, a fiery player out of LA who really should be better known). All instrumental, all short tracks. Neat-o!

Fo’s Picks: 1, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 16

1. 3:15 – catchy bassline, sax blares
2. 3:10 – mopey meandering
3. 2:56 – rockin’ chugger, great sax!

5. 2:25 – upbeat indie-rock sound
6. 1:55 – quick, angular grind
7. 2:20 – straight-up rock groove
8. 1:27 – slow fall over fast drums
9. 1:47 – jerky new-wave riffs
