Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend
Reviewed 2012-04-18
Ultra downtuned guitar bordering on bass, fuzzed to the max, slow drums, slow and weird to evolve songs. When vocs appear they are of the “cookie monster” doom Metal sort but I wouldn’t classify this stuff as Metal at all, nor even Southern Lord “Sunn” type. Judging from the lyrics this might be a total spoof (ya think?!: track 3 is called “eating ice cream with satan”). Not sure how to classify this besides heavy weird and disturbing and hilarious at the same time. Recommended if you like huffing liquid plumber in your dirty boxers. Play with Killdozer, Brujeria, Manic Hispanic silliness or with Medea Connection downtuned masterpieces.

1) (5:56) slow fuzzed downtuned guitar notes looped, slow drums appear finally and doomy swallowed vocs
2) (4:05) starts off “complex” like Rush or King Crimson, slows to a crawl like Sabbath on luudes
3) (3:48) slow and doomy, eating ice cream with satan
4) (3:36) doom doom
5) (3:16)more upbeat, nice garbage can type percussion, why does this remind me of the old Marlboro ads of the early 70’s?
6) (3:39) tribal drums, almost melodic riff, turns “mathy” again
7) (10:48) slow doomy long and multifaceted, w/ vocs
