as reviewed by Mister Esquire. girly group pop/retro singer songwriter 60's retro through 80's retro lens. la sera is katy goodman from vivian girls. more poppy, less garagey (totally loses the punk edge) than the viv's, also more 80's. FCC CLEAN. RIYL: vivian girls, dum dum girls, shirelles, bangles, josie cotten, neverever, et al. MR. ESQ. SEZ: MEOW MEOW MEOW MEOW MEOW! PLAY THESE TRACKS: ANY/ALL/THAT GOOD. 1. beachy and yearny slumbering pop. 2. fast, new wave punky. throbby. 3. slow, epic build up. uppbeat. 80's. 4. awesome&fast garagey. evokes benatar when rocking. 5. BEST TRACK: slow to slow. lumbering and hypno. 'doo doo to do. ooo ooo ooo. doo doo to u.' 6. cheesy 80's. flourishing harmonies&jangles. 7. islandy, loungey, cheesy (it's awesome!) 8.
