An enjoyable album with a mixture of indie, folk, blues, and some country twang that remains melancholy throughout the album with odd and eerie tails concerning life, love and death. Josh Tillman (singer and former drummer of Fleet Foxes) evokes the morose and unusual journey of characters undergoing self- reflection, fulfillment, and enlightenment. FCC clear.
1. (3:39)* slow-mid / Lovely harmony including soft angelic female background vocals; dreamlike.
2. (3:54) mid-upbeat/ piano synthesizer, melodic
3. (3:10) mid-upbeat/ drums and frequent bass. Great melody
4. (3:35) upbeat/ country-blues; piano riff
5. (2:23) *slow/ beautiful song with background vocals and organ
6. (3:13) slow-mid / melancholy, frequent bass, an electric guitar with some piano
7. (4:09) slow-mid/ acoustic guitar
8. (3:57) *slow-mid/ morbidly amusing
9. (2:43) mid/ folk-blues; head bopper; tambourine
10. (4:16) mid-slow/ starts slow and melancholy, but picks up in the middle with piano and strings
11. (3:16) *upbeat/ fun folk-country twang; piano, bass, fiddle
12. (5:19) *mid-slow/ melancholy; female background vocals, includes piano, mandolin, and organ
