Duo from New York. Instrumentalists, cello and piano. The mix is good, although it could be less equal and more dynamic for the cellist. Score material included, although no part divisions. No bands dividing the tracks (and beautiful clear vinyl) but there are one second gaps.

A (Red Label)
1 3:05 I for cello and piano
Mid-tempo slowed. Scale crescendo with drone notes, think Ravel/Debussy. Upwards, upwards, reverse. Long upward scale chromatic filler. Woven cello, not a lilted tone, good presence for a large open arpeggiated chord structure. An Indian classical “downward” note turn is used in the 2/6th of the cello section. The piece’s finalization is a four bar repeat and final bar melody crystallization then suspension.
2 2:05 II for cello and piano
Mid-tempo sped. Steady flowing bass line, Modern, stately. Almost amp like thuds on the low-end toward the beginning. A twisted four chord motion repeated for a majority of every other bar, which becomes an eight chord motion. Several pressings of a beautiful dissonant chord end the piece.
B (Black Label)
3 5:38 III for cello and piano
Philip Glass comes to mind. Cello arrangements on Nick Drake material come to mind. Violin style cello work, a quicker bow rate and a violin like range is used (high-end). Nice atonal passage completing this piece good for more of a listen to the cello I think, and that passage is like old-time classical violin performance with less whimsy and more Alan Silva-ish tone exploration.
