First Public Image Ltd. album in 20 years. John Lydon (or, some of you may know him as Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols). Post-punk. Goth. Spacey. A bit reggae. Guitars, bass, drums. This album fucking kills!! FCC #7 at 0:18 remaining - can fade out at 0:25.
*My Favorites*: 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 11, 12.
1. (3:39) Mid. Steady beat, hypnotic guitar, bass. Repeated lyric.
2. *(4:52) Mid. Reggae-ish, new wave-ish, post-punk-ish. Cool beat.
3. *(6:08) Mid. Mellower, then gets more up w/ echoey vocal, sinister gtr.
4. *(3:47) Mid / Fast. Big post-punk, goth vibe, echoey vocal, Cool guitar.
5. (6:02) Slow / Mid. Steady drums up front, killer guitar solo, Funk bass.
6. (4:14) Slow / Mid. Ethereal vibe, cool bass and guitar effects.
7. (4:09) Mid. FCC but could fade out at 0:25. Heavy ominous tone.
8. *(3:07) Slow / Mid. Spoken vocal over spacey guitar, percussion.
9. *(6:54) Mid. Bizarre w/ killer beat, almost a didgeridoo sound. Yeah!!
10. (5:52) Slow / Mid. Spacey, reggae crawl, slowly delivered vocal.
11. *(5:49) Mid / Fast. Great vcls, reggae inside punk, a bit of The Police.
12. *(9:41) Mid. Very plodding beat. Great vocal, backing vocals. Banjo!!
