Band Called Catch is a popular local group out of Chicago. We hear a male and a female singer, plus guitars, horns, bass, and drums; add piano or organ on a few tracks. The songs are mostly lightweight fare, fun listening.

No FCC issues

** Mid-fast. Very catchy and upbeat. Very good male lead and female harmony singing. A terrific sing-along “na na na” refrain. (3:28)
* Mid-tempo calypso swing. Male & female trade off on lead vocals. A fun, retro down-by-the-seaside feel. (3:31)
* Fast. Complex back & forth vocal parts. Showy electric guitar solo; lots of horns. (3:40)
Mid-fast. Parts are folkie with just guitars; when the whole band joins it’s more upbeat. (3:22)
Mid-fast. Funky, hi-energy instrumental for 2 mins, then the male singer enters with a jazzy Mose Allison-like vocal. (4:43)
** Fast. Childlike fun. Infectious. The whole bands rocks. (3:39)
Mid-tempo samba beat. Female sings a gender-switched lyric. South of border trumpet. (3:07)
Mid-tempo. Folksiest tune on the disc. Alternating male & female vocals give it sort of an Edward Sharpe sound. (3:21)
