Dull Knife is a match made in drone heaven—Garrett Drusk (Tecumseh) and Adam Svenson (Du Hexen Hase, Karnak Temples) collaborate to make some dark, nightmarish side-long epics on Debacle Records’ first vinyl release. At times totally intense and overblown power electronics, like Merzbow meets Sunn O))), but also with sparse windy, subtle moments that are no less intense, this is a wild sonic journey that is really worth taking if you have the patience and trepidation.
RIYL Nurse With Wound, Lotus Eaters (mastered by James Plotkin of Lotus Eaters, Khanate, OLD, etc.)

Side A: (16:24) From beneath a quiet, foggy background of light, airy dissonance, we soon get some harsh abstract blasts of amorphous noise. Absolutely beautiful though, brings to mind recent collaborations by Fennesz & Sakamoto, Merzbow & Richard Pinhas.

Side B: (17:16) More spacious, laid back, yet dark and cavernous; feels like a cassette field recording of spelunking, with narcotic guitar overdubs. Tom Carter meets Lustmord, maybe?
