“The Bravest Man In The Universe”
Bobby Womack
2012 XL Recordings Records

Soul and Blues legend Bobby Womack has endured and produced over 20 musical projects and virtually defined Soul and Blues music. His 27th CD entitled “The Bravest Man In The Universe” introduces a new generation of listeners to this vocal and musical legend. However, “The Bravest Man In The Universe” is NOT your typical soul and blues CD, rather the musical project is a radical departure in many ways. Bobby Womack’s thunderous and soulful voice anchors the CD, but at times clashes with the synthetic, loop-based accompaniment and techno sounds. Regardless, “The Bravest Man In The Universe” is a very DEEP CD in which Bobby Womack reveals so much remorse and inner pain and the material is entirely original. You may have to listen to the CD a few times to truly appreciate the artistic nature of “The Bravest Man In The Universe”

1) 3:53 “The Bravest Man In The Universe”- TITLE TRACK that starts off with a sample of the words “As a singer grows older.." Bass laden track with Bobby Womack’s gritty voice.
