Artist: The Quakers
Album:Quakers
Label: Stones Throw
FCC See Dirty’s
Overview: Coming from Peanut Butter Wolf’s Label Stone Throw based out of Los Angles California this Album boasts a star studded lineup throughout the album. This album is centered around a trio of producers from Stones Throw: Fuzzface, 7-Stu-7, and Katalyst an Australian hip hop producer. This album is completely unique and features Mc’s like Booty Brown from L.A.’s Pharcyde Track 30. Also Chicago’s Diverse on track 11 who has worked with other Dj’s such as RJD2. Guilty Simpson, Track 21 and Dead Prez track 32 also make some appearances. Some other highlights for me was Coin Locker Kid’s The Beginning on track 19, it has a real down tempo feel. Another Highlight was track 22, Lyric Jones kills it with her strong verse over a complementary beat. Track 35 has a very good sample in the background which gives justice to the beat. Tack 41 at the end left me with a good impression on what the album is all about. All in all this album is literally
loaded with gems I highly recommend the highlighted tracks outlined above because many others have some kind of weird synth interference or some experimental feel to it. If your looking for some classic trunk slappers track 4 and 21 provide what you need. Highly Recommended
FCC Dirty Tracks
Track 2, Track 4 at 50 seconds, track 7, track 12 at the end, track 14, track 18, track 21, track 25, track 27, track 28, track 30,
DJ Chuy Recommended tracks- track 4, track 15, track 19, track 21, track 22, track 26, track 30 and track 32
I gave the FCC dirty tracks and my recommended tracks because in simply reviewing every song the info would not fit on the Digi pack.
