Jen Schande / 19 Songs for and Inspired by Valencia: Chapter 19 / ATO Records. Noisy low-fi indie rock with female vocals and a distinctly 90’s feel in texture and emotion. This is an old release, 2012, and was written to be the soundtrack for a movie called Valencia by Michelle Tea. Both Michelle and Jen are bay area folk so give them love. Schande’s bandcamp bio says it all, “Schande: A very important band with very important and totally interesting band members. Totally. ” Similar Artists: Schande, PJ Harvey, The Breeders, Sonic Youth, Yo La Tengo. Matthew
