Wicked good Ethiopian pop. An 11-member ensemble that absolutely rocks. Of special note is vocalist Bruck Tesfaye. A mix of instrumental and vocal tracks. The percussion is nabalm hot and the horns just wail. All worth a play.
*1. Fast goodness w/a way cool Afro funk vibe.
*2. Instant horn goodness in this upbeat track w/vox. Like a spy theme.
3. More relaxed then upbeat. A touch of Celtic but totally Afro rock.
4. Slow w/a creepy circus feel. Then a bit of Arabian nights. Very cool
*5. Instant fire. The horns just wail. Wild & fiery fast.
*6. Solid Afro funk, mid/upbeat w/brass and sass. Great vocals.
7. A strong funk walk w/e-guitar, stylish arrangement. Big band wail.
8. Starts very quiet, a slow, contemplative almost hymn-like song.
*9. Mid/up w/spoken word then a total brassy jam. Wow!
10. Slow and evocative. Really lovely yet sad.
11. Mid/upbeat jazz-infused showcase for all.
