Born in Mississippi, based in Austin, this release marks 50 years in music for Omar. He’s played with and rubbed shoulders with countless greats over the years. His sound is steeped in the blues w/ rockabilly, r & b, and country stylings. Solid stuff. No FCC’s.

*My Favorites*: 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12.

1. *(2:40) Mid / Fast. Upbeat rockabilly bluesburner.
2. (2:42) Slow / Mid. Mellow, Robert Johnson-ish vibe w/ band.
3. (2:52) Mid. Country ditty about a drunkard.
4. *(3:38) Mid. Sparse, Bo Diddley beat, mean guitar w/ back vocals.
5. *(3:47) Mid. Big sound, steady beat, crunchy guitar, great vocals.
6. (4:40) Slow / Mid. INSTRUMENTAL. Mourner w/ killer guitar.
7. *(3:15) Mid / Fast. INSTRUMENTAL. Upbeat rock-a-boogie strut.
8. *(3:42) Slow / Mid. Nice downbeat w/ cool slide work.
9. (3:01) Slow. Mourning ballad w/ plodding beat.
10. *(2:54) Mid. John Lee Hooker song. Upbeat driver crunchy guitar.
11. *(4:44) Slow. Big John Lee Hooker / Muddy Waters vibe. Mean and magnificent w/ heavy lyric.
12. *(5:07) Mid / Fast. Rockin’ band, strong beat, guitar solos
