Solid & sophisticated mainstream sax/organ combo with a cool late-night, small club feel. Recorded live, this selection of the music of the great Hank Mobely features great solos by all. Although leader Weeds (on sax) & Mike LeDonne (on b3 are the stars), it’s guitaris Oliver Gannon who keeps capturing my attention. Watch for applause at end of tracks& solos and check levels as volume varies.

*1. Warm and lively mid/uptempo features some great hip solos.
*2. Halting upbeat b3 introduces a slamming sax & then it just runs
*3.Oh so good relaxed city-colored bossa is a great showcase for all.
4. Upbeat classic with a nice playful interplay between the combo.
5. Mid/upbeat that catches speed and runs like a cat.
6. Romantic slow dance that picks up energy.
7. Wicked fast from the start and then non-stop speed.
8. LeDonne’s upbeat tribute to Hank Mobely. It flies.
