I honestly don’t know why I bother to review Putumayo collections. Every song on every one of their releases is worthy of air play. Africa. Blues. You figure it out.

1. It’s “Holy Crap” good. Emotive male vox w/a strong blues line.
2. Tight harmonies of both voices and strings, midtempo walk
3. A midtempo swamp walk, if the swamp was the Zambezi.
4. Strings, percussion. Chicago blues, complete w/B3.
5. Sweet midtempo sway w/female chorus male/vox. Strings.
6. Down ‘n’dirty Taj Mahal meets Africa by way of Middle East.
7. Sleepy strings blend so cool. Guitar & n’goni. (Like a banjo).
8. Serious blues walk w/great vocal harmonies & strings.
9. Amazing pan-world blend of instruments & sounds. Midtempo.
10. Super-cool male vox, blues harp & guitar. Midtempo stride.
