COLL: VAULT SERIES 11.0

This 3-track EP features some of the roughest and toughest techno out there, released by a label run by "Subjected", a guy who would rather remain anonymous and deep underground. With a secret identity like that, you've gotta expect some hard stuff, and this EP delivers. I can appreciate the gritty roughness of #1, but the most interesting track is #3 "MS.20" by the label-owner himself.

1. 5:36 (Moerbeck - The Raven): Dirty roughly textured beats over a dark and sinister soundscape. Crackling and pecking effects darken an oppressive techno track. Oddly enough, the beats are so hard they bounce back at you in an energizing way.
2. 6:42 (Sawlin - Obsoleszens): Broken-beat techno with swirling sounds, swirling vocals & effects, an insistent siren noise comes in halfway through the track and doesn't leave. I would have liked a little less "stuff" in this track, as the ending was more to my taste.
3. 8:29 (Subjected - MS.20): Industrial & mechanical, cold & sinister, but very potent. Hard-crushing techno with a lot of twisted effects, and by midway you are pretty drugged.
