ALTERNATIVE FOLK. Debut EP from this Scottish singer-songwriter-guitarist. Her voice is pretty but not especially powerful. Music is mainly light, listenable, and enjoyable.

No FCC issues.

1 * Slow to mid-tempo. A happy, uplifting song: it starts with just voice & bass, then gets fuller with piano & strings. (4:00)
2 Mid to mid-fast. Strange story-telling. Opens with singing & acoustic guitar, then band & strings join. Becomes a fairly big production (overdone for my taste). Finishes soft. (4:28)
3 ** Mid-tempo waltz time. A bit challenging to listen to, but may appeal to folks who like the unusual. Singing varies in style and runs up & down her range, showing a lot of personality. Accompaniment includes an accordion or small organ, a harp, and what else I can’t tell for sure. Worth a listen if you’re adventurous. (3:31)
4 * Mid-slow. Strange start with electric noise; turns into folk ballad with voice, acoustic guitar, hint of piano; then strings enter in second half. Parts are pretty & dreamy; others are spooky, mysterious. (5:06)
