Warm and solid mainstream trombone led jazz. Talent must run in the family as Anderson is the nephew of Sonny Rollins. There’s plenty of hard-bop power but also a subtlety that adds a nice aura of unpredictability. The tracks and style are quite versatile and the band is rock solid. A mix of originals and new compositions. Very cool!

*1. A solid mid/uptempo swing w/ a sense of style sophistication.
*2. Upbeat and swinging w/ a fun duel between trumpet & trombone.
*3. Solo trombone intro then a bright midtempo sway. Nice solos.
4. Quirky midtempo jam w/nicely unexpected solos & solid playing.
5. Slow, introspective and lovely with a light touch & nice arrangement
*6. Fun & playful Latin jazz. Mid/up w/sweet energy & fun.
7. An old chestnut get a nice mid/up makeover. Nicely swinging.
8. Slow solo trombone that picks up. Nice. Watch levels, can get quiet
9. Mid/up w/a tight, sophistication and bright style.
