Fourth album by independent folk artist. Laid-back, nearly languid acoustic treatments
of traditional songs, plainly sung. A few good tracks here.

No FCC violations detected.

*= favorite cuts

1 – (4:18) Bright Sunny South Soft acoustic folkie, mellow vocals, off to war.
2 – (2:40) I Wish I Wish Full band sound, piano & horn, pretty images.
3 – (2:54) Short Life* Spare sound, lonesome fiddle, very nicely done.
4 – (2:38) My Old Friend* Mid-tempo, catchy, about catching up & friendship
5 – (4:24) He’s Taken My Feet Slow spiritual, then evolves to chaotic rock finish.
6 – (4:02) Pharoah* Slow, soft instrumentation & vocal. Nice woodwinds.
7 – (3:40) As I Roved Out* Plaintive banjo intro, mid-tempo, rough & forceful vocals,
about heartbreak & loneliness.
8 – (1:50) Shake It Off Slow, goes pretty much nowhere.
9 – (0:40) Groundhog* Sweet & short guitar instrumental.
10 – (3:45) Streets of Derry* Slow, guitar & fiddle, pretty love ballad.
11 – (3:10) Weeping Mary Another spiritual song, only so-so.
