Jump On It

(CLEAN) 07. LL Cool J - Jump On It - 429 Records: This track surprised me. LL has been more focused on his acting career rather than the music scene and his recent material has been more catered to the crossover audience. Cool J starts it off with: ‘It was meant to be/ Hip hop died, reincarnated through me / Now the promoters gotta double my fee / ‘Cause these pop melodies ain’t fucking with me. Yes Cool J is talking watered down hip hop and how he is taking it back. The track is pretty solid although I think the hook on the track could have been a little stronger. Big up LL on this one. – M-SMOOTH
