COLL: Grey Report 02 - Adriana Lopez & Developer
Label: Grey Report
Hard-hitting techno EP release from Adriana Lopez's new label Grey Report. Barcelona-based Adriana Lopez teams up with LA's Developer for a 4-track techno sledgehammer. My friends from Barcelona all love their techno. So it's not surprising for good souds to come out of there. Developer's "Madre" (#2) is pretty strong, and I actually think Adriana's "Sequel" (#4) is the best track.
1. "Let it Be Said" (5:16) - Developer starts off with a dark and brooding mechanical thumper of a track.
2. "Madre" (6:51) - Crunching and metallic, with hard-hitting beats. Good techno should be like that fist that punches you in the face.
3. "Lines of Fracture" (5:24) - Lopez's first track is a cold, gritty, glitchy techno grinder that is a bit mentally disturbing - in a good way.
4. "Sequel" (6:09) - Nervous and twitchy with glassy tones, reverberating claps. Bouncy and rich with energy.
