Tarjei Nygard: Hardkokt Label: Full Pupp
Lovely! Great funky electro/house/disco spiced with airy and tasty synth loops from Norway. Hot New Oslorwegian talent Tarjei Nygard is the head of Untz Records, and he clearly has a sense of light & playful house music. I liked all 3 tracks, but my favorite one would probably be (#2) "Katapult." I might not be able to help you with Norwegian pronunciations though.
1. "Hardkokt" (7:16) - Light and playful disco-infused house, nice melodic synths and cheerful effects.
2. "Katapult" (5:41) - Lovely funky disco with even some Latin & R&B flairs. Very enjoyable, has a great groove.
3. "Brosteinsjungel" (4:53) - Happy and quirky track with dubby flavors. Takes a little while to build up, and the 2nd half has a nice groovy payoff.
