Sweet Honey In The Rock has been performing for 40 years. An a cappella group throughout their career, here they team up with a band for a 2011 live performance. A few strictly a cappella numbers but most w/ band. They pay tribute to Odetta, Miriam Makeba, Nina Simone, Abbey Lincoln, plus some of their own tunes, playing civil rights, Africa-centric, spiritual, and political songs. Incredible performances!!!
