Davis is a fine, fine banjoist and this album features the likes of Shawn
Lane (Blue Highway), Steve Gulley, and Ron Stewart (fiddle) as sidemen.
– (3:09) Where The Wild River Rolls* Fine version of classic, great vocals.
– (3:22) One More Rocky Road* Nice mid-tempo love song.
– (2:46) Bully Of The Town* Fast rendition of rarely heard bluegrass instrumental.
– (2:48) I’ll Be Waiting For You* Smoldering love anthem, terrific vocals.
– (3:58) Darby’s Castle* Weeper about love & regret. Pretty sad.
– (2:39) Oh Death Cover of Ralph Stanley composition. So-so.
– (3:35) Hard Rock Bottom Of Your Heart. Good mid-tempo love plea.
– (2:24) Just Another Broken Heart* Up-tempo lament featuring Junior Sisk on
lead vocals.
– (2:54) Liberty Fiddle & banjo duet.
– (3:25) Bootleg John* Great singing, hot picking.
– (2:43) Ted’s Tune* Up-tempo instrumental, simply outstanding playing.
– (3:22) Gold in Carolina Decent but nothing special.
– (1:48) Shamrock* Super-fast banjo & mandolin instrumental, wow!
