APERTURISTIC TRIO: Truth and Actuality

MODERN JAZZ – Pianist James Weidman is the primary force behind this tightly-meshed trio of veteran players, writing 6 of the 8 tunes. It’s a varied set, but all three of these guys (Weidman, Harvie S on bass and Steve Williams on drums) favor a lyrical approach that makes the tunes feel so comfortable you might not notice their odd shapes at first.

2. 5:42 – relaxed urban stroll, a warm & friendly feel, bass solo
