Two experimental soundscape artists from the Bay Area. Black Thread (2013 Day of Noise veteran!) is more soundscape oriented, focusing on tape loops and field recordings; Fslux is more scattered and abstract, like the soundtrack to a nightmare that drags on so long, you forget it’s not real… or is it?
1. (19:45) Fslux: weird bubbling loops of noise, cello, light chanting and skronky field recordings
2. (9:49) BT: very lo-fi ambient drone, starts quiet and dissonant but eventually bursts into crisp, brilliant harmonies
3. (10:13) BT: abrasive loops of harsh noise, relentless but somehow… calming? Maybe it’s just me.
