Goldtimers tapes brings us another winner to accompany No Mind Meditation, Seabat, Zac Nelson, Red Electric Rainbow, and other ambient space cadets in their noble catalog. Each side is a woozy, weird, absorbing soundscape perfectly crafted for those nebulous moments between sleep and waking.

1.(19:29) Polluted Water: scrambled skronky loops of sound—field recordings, synth, noise; the dissonance fades away as time goes on, and slow, dreamy resolution is promised, only to be thwarted by buzzing static and theremin. Who will win? Sure enough, lo-fi synth noodling concludes, taking a head-nodding krautrockish direction at the very end.

2. (19:11) The Original Flowering Earth: slooooow, woozy, gently unfolding layers of ambient synth, just beautiful
