Artist: Locrian // Album: Return To Annihilation
Experimental Black Metal Shoegaze Ambient Drone. Most songs have a drone element, usually feedback getting played around with and some light electronic noises / effects. Simple drums in most songs. Don't be fooled by my saying "black metal" either, this is actually a pretty good chillout album, not aggressive. Put this on and space out :)
FCC CLEAN.
The heavier songs are 1 and 6. Great stuff.
All other songs are worth a spin for a more mellow droney experience!
1.) > > > What a gem! Slow moving atmospheric black metal vocals with whale-sounding-synths and nice guitar melodies / feedback. The vocals make me wanna jizz my pants…if only I were wearing pants.
2.) Pulsing synth with feedback melodies. Simple drums and light twinkling guitars throughout. Music to space out to. Tortured screams enter around 6:30 and abrupt change around 7:00.
3.) Slow-moving distorted psych drone sound under simple drums and clean guitars.
4.) Vaguely tribal rhythm, to buzzing feedback drone, to beautiful melodic blackened shoegaze sound
5.) Drone like a fast fan spinning, twinkling guitars, drums slowly crescendo
6.) > > > Starts with feedback drone then moves to buzzing beehive of guitar sound with drums. Slow buried screams.
7.) Simple guitar chords with building synth drone in background. Wind / scraping noises. Quiet middle section like creepy film score, @13:00 changes to atmospheric black metal.
