Brooklyn native, friends w/ Lou Reed, played w/ Reed, John Cale, Dr. John, Levon Helm, Bruce Springsteen, Garland Jeffreys has been playing music for better than 40 years. This album is a testament to his solid career, featuring deep lyrics and an impressive core of musicians (including Larry Campbell (Helm, Dylan, Hot Tuna, etc.). Elements of blues, soul, r&b, r’n’r, folk, reggae. Incredible stuff and highly recommended. No FCC’s. *My Favorites*: All. 1. (4:13) Mid. Title track. Dirty blues w/ harmonica, mean gtr. 2.
