Another compilation of experimental sounds from Washington, DC curated to promote the 13th annual Sonic Circuits festival in November. Classic favorites such as Blue Sausage Infant and Music From The Film are back, along with amazing newcomers such as Human Food. Play this if you crave the unexpected.

4 (3:45) "What's that button do" then tropical drums, weirdo dudldydudldy voc samples, shimmers, shouts
5 (3:42) Big crushing refrigerator noise waves, final minute calms down
6 (4:00) Alien warbling, deep impending doom electrobass, disemvocaled vocal samples
7 (3:06) Mechanical rumbling/whirring grows into fridge orchestra then dramatically quiets down
*8 (3:08) nosie a cappella "yeah, right now" vocal sample layered, repeated plus more vox
*9 (2:52) Plucked sunny guitar pings over darkness, discordant
10 (5:01) Calm pretty synths fade between dark and light, strumming, chiming
11 (3:51) Rhythmic, electrified strumming with light glitchiness, Dracula castle synths
12 (4:01) Somewhat harsh, industrial whirring and grinding string/organ tone
*13 (3:51) Free jazzy horn over dark bassy rhythm and jazzy drums. less rhythm, more calm in second half
14 (3:52) Dystopian shuffling noisy thriller moves into outer space as it goes
15 (3:21) Fridge noise with heavily effected, distorted pings
16 (4:12) Ambient synths with strings, static, fluttering knobs
17 (3:57) Sparser than most but still loud; eerie percussion, chimes, creaks, moans, chairs screeching across tile, strings
18 (4:05) Track is called "bumbumbum,,bibibip,czczzzooooop" by Weed Tree; probably the most apt name of all time
*19 (4:00) Really cool, background whirrs, weird string plucking, ambient pattering, sparkling
20 (4:14) Deconstructed electronic drum machine beat that fades out ~1 min in, ambient fiddling and whirring with sparse percussion follows
