Lee Renaldo keeps putting out great stuff after the divorce of Sonic Youth. he makes the Sonic Youth albums I always wanted Sonic Youth to make: pop albums (as done by Sonic Youth). This is a collaboration with The Dust. The Dust are: Alan Licht, git; Tim Luntzel, bass; and fellow x-sy guy Steve Shelly, drums. great musicians, great songs. long songs. =One Of The Best Of 2013. MR. ESQ. SEZ: MEOW MEOW MEOW MEOW MEOW. FCC CLEAN. RIYL: SONIC YOUTH&NEIL YOUNG -TOGETHER AT LAST! ALSO: KURT VILE, TELEVISION, THE DEAD, MIKAL CRONIN, ET AL. PLAY: ANY/ALL/RANDOMEOW/BLACKT OUT! 1. almost jangle pop. great jam in middle. it's fingerpickin' good! 2. droney begin. into soft folkiness ala 70's am cheese (but oh! -it ez ze best of chezzes'!) then it gets jamming. 3. dreamy, dreamy, dreamy. meanders, jams. 4. psychey.
