The Strange Tones are based in Portland, OR and play a blues-based rock vibe w/ elements of rockabilly, funk, surf w/ standard instrumentation of gtr, bass, drums, keys, harmonica. Both female and male lead vcls. The album’s theme is ‘Crime-A-Billy’ w/ some great moments. No FCC’s. *My Favorites*: 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 11. 1. (3:57) Mid. Barroom bluesy w/ slight mean vibe. 2. *(3:05) Mid. Rockin’ w/ gtr solo, solid beat. 3. *(3:56) Mid. Mellow gait, relaxed blues. 4. *(3:01) Mid. Drivin’ beat, kinda retro vibe. 5. (4:40) Slow / Mid.
