The Manticores – Petaltails
Lo-Fi Pop/Psychedelic Pop. The usual suspects, except drum machine rather than drums. The Manticores (not to be confused with Manticore) are Atlanta-based wife and husband duo Sarah and Jesse Atchison. At-home recordings made between Jan and Aug 2013. No FCCs detected. –eme o.
*1. New Who [3:51] Just a regular old relatively engaging pop-rock song with male vox that seem to bubble up from underwater. Sweet 'ooh's alternating with rough sound.
2. How Zelda Feels [3:19] Sounds a bit like Throwing Muses. Some talky bits.
3. Mouthfeeder [3:45] Male/Female vox. Sounds a bit electronic to start. Floating 'aah's, then airy singing. Full sound is interrupted by something a bit more spare, then continues.
4. Soft Crush [2:32] Acoustic guitar to start. Male vox on verses, duet on chorus. Sensitive.
*5. Lulls [4:16] Male and female vox in different sections. Starts off sassy and goes through a few moods before the end.
