Very good Americana music in Black’s sophomore effort. A few songs tend towards
commercial country but most are rooted in good folk and country sounds.

– (4:07) Nobody Knows You* Smoky & soulful, mid-tempo, fine.
– (4:22) I’m Home Slow, nostalgic, smooth vocals.
– (3:36) Old Hurt* Smoldering and bluesy, excellent.
– (3:45) Alabama Sweet song of Black’s home, pretty imagery.
– (5:12) Make Me An Angel Good mid-tempo song in current Nashville style.
– (3:21) These Walls Are Falling Down Another contemporary-sounding track.
– (3:41) Layin’ It Down* Funky, dark tale of a pipeliner, really good.
– (3:45) Hello Slow song about dementia, lovely vocals.
– (3:28) Stronger* Country rocker, up-tempo, bitter, very good.
– (4:14) Speed Of The Sound Of Loneliness* Great cover of John Prine song.
– (4:12) We Had A Life Another contemporary-sounding track, OK.
– (2:55) Cat’s In The Kitchen* Upbeat, playful, danceable.
– (4:31) Still Learning How To Fly* Beautiful cover of Rodney Crowell song.
